Peace River Electric EMC Implements MOBILETrak WMS Barcoding & RFID Live Yard Asset Tracking

In April 2026, the MOBILETrak team was on site with Peace River Electric in Florida to support a full rollout of MOBILETrak WMS and Active RFID across all four of their locations. The implementation focused on establishing a consistent, connected inventory and asset tracking environment spanning each facility, ensuring the system aligned with how their teams operate day to day.

Throughout the deployment, our team worked closely with Peace River Electric staff to configure WMS workflows, deploy RFID tracking infrastructure, and provide hands-on training to ensure a smooth transition across all sites. During the visit, we also had the chance to meet Monty, the warehouse cat who was taken in and homed by Peace River Electric following a hurricane—an unexpected but memorable part of the on-site experience.

With MOBILETrak WMS and Active RFID now fully deployed across all four locations, Peace River Electric has gained improved real-time visibility into inventory and asset movement across their network. The combined solution supports more accurate inventory control, reduces reliance on manual tracking, and strengthens operational efficiency across the organization as a whole.

About Peace River Electric:

“Founded in 1940, Peace River Electric Cooperative (PRECO) was created to bring electricity to rural Central Florida communities. It has grown from a small group of energized homes and farms into a cooperative serving over 70,000 members. PRECO operates across 10 counties and is organized into 9 geographic districts. It is a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative focused on service rather than profit.

All revenue is reinvested into infrastructure, reliability improvements, and member programs. PRECO does not generate power but purchases wholesale electricity from Seminole Electric Cooperative. This partnership helps ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective energy delivery. The cooperative is guided by the 7 Cooperative Principles, including community focus and democratic member control.
It offers services such as advanced metering, outage alerts, and energy audits.

PRECO also supports members through programs like Operation Round Up and local community initiatives.
Overall, PRECO is committed to providing reliable power while strengthening the communities it serves.”
